AutoCAD 2011

OVERVIEW




Discover the world of Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CAD). This program is designed to prepare the student with drafting and design skills needed to compete in the rapidly changing 21st century global workplace and qualify for entry level AutoCAD® drafting positions. It can also help experienced drafting personnel assume more senior AutoCAD® positions and gain confidence in their software skills. Courses feature significant hands-on experience and are sequenced to build on previous classroom/lab and work experiences.

COURSE LEVELS

  • AutoCAD 2011 Level I  |  Getting started with AutoCAD; basic drawing and editing; drawing with precision; organizing with players; object types; inserting blocks. 7 Sessions, starts January 4th, 2010. 
  • AutoCAD 2011 Level II  |  Paper space and layouts; printing your drawing; text and dimensioning; creating and managing blocks; hatching; advanced editing features.  7 Sessions, starts February 1st, 2010. 
  • AutoCAD 2011 Level III  |  Design center; advanced drafting tools; managing Xref files; setting up plotter and CTB Files; blocks and attributes; custom buttons and toolbars; import/export file formats. 8 Sessions starts March 1st, 2010. 

TUITION

$395 for each of the three levels or $995 for all three levels. Certificate offered only to those who complete all three levels.

Begins Sept. 27th, 2010 for 24 sessions. 

Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00-9:00pm

INSTRUCTOR

Colin Moy has worked in the drafting field since 1978. He has extensive experience in both AutoCAD and the information technology field. In addition to teaching in the evening, he is employed by KPFF.
